Official numbers from the Main Event are out

The official numbers of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event are out – it’s all about records!

A total of 7,319 participants play for a prize pool of $68,798,600, with first place being rewarded with $8,944,138 alone.


After the 2006 Main Event, this year’s edition is the second-largest live poker tournament ever.


The 41st World Series of Poker Main Event has players from 117 different nations battling it out at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
