Andrew Pantling leads field at EPT Copenhagen
PokerStars qualifier Andrew Pantling from Canada is leading the field at the end of Day 1a of EPT Copenhagen – one of 113 players who have made it through to Day 2 from a starting field of 191.
All four of today’s Day 1a Team PokerStars Pros are also through. Best placed is French pro Arnaud Mattern, winner of EPT Prague in Season 4, who bagged up 76,000 today.
He will be joined for Day 2 on Thursday by fellow Pros Dario Minieri (61,000), Ruben Visser (34,000) and Johnny Lodden (23,700). Also through is Jose Carlos Da Silva from France, who won his seat – part of a package worth €200,000 - on the French TV show Poker Mission Caraibes.
Swedish actor Anders Beckman - famous for plays, TV movies and advertising the Swedish Yellow Pages - also survived Day 1a with 43,300.
Tomorrow’s Day 1b players include 2008 world champion and Team PokerStars Pro Peter Eastgate as well as fellow team members Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, William Thorson, Luca Pagano, Noah Boeken and Sebastian Ruthenberg.
